Volunteers Needed for Windsor Eagle Scout Project

Volunteers are needed to help complete the Eagle Scout Project of Windsor Troop 149 member, Nick Lange, on Saturday morning from 8am-noon.  Nick's project involves removing 700+ tires from an old go-kart track in the Matianuck State park located in the southwestern-most corner of Windsor.  The tires, besides being an eyesore, are a mosquito breeding ground that must be eliminated.  If you are able to help, even for an hour, please bring gloves, a water bottle, and a wheel barrow or garden cart, if you have one.  Please park on the right side of White Rock Drive only, as a truck will be arriving at 11:00 to transport the tires to Sterling, CT to be recycled as bio-fuel.  Your help would be MOST appreciated and troop members will be available to sign off on community service hours, if needed.
