Cirillo Summer Theatre Celebrates 45th Anniversary

The Cirillo Summer Theatre, a town of Windsor recreation program, will celebrate its 45th anniversary, beginning with auditions on June 3 and 4 for the 2008 Tony award winning musical, In the Heights. Students and young adults who are 14 - mid-twenties may audition by appointment on either night. To schedule an audition, contact Artistic Director, Susan J. Vinick, at suejvin@cox.net. We are looking for a large, diverse cast. IN THE HEIGHTS tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which tradtions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. The celebration continues with registration for the Cirillo Summer Theatre's junior division group. The younger division for students ages 8 - 14 will produce Through the Looking Glass, a musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic story. To register for the junior division of Cirillo Summer Theatre, visit the Recreation and Leisure Services Dept., located at L. P. Wilson Community Center, 599 Matianuck Ave., Windsor. Ask for a Cirillo Summer Theatre registration form. For more information and to be put on the CST junior division e-mail list, contact suejvin@cox.net. It's going to be a great summer at the Cirillo Summer Theatre, and we want you to be a part of it!
