I am a writer by trade, and an animal advocate.  I have been active in animal rescue for over 15 years, working with several rescue organizations.  Being owned by 5 cats, all rescues, I see so many animals left behind to fend for themselves.  I also know the importance of introducing legisation to protect those animals that can't speak for themselves.
