The Town of Windsor Housing Authority was created in 1968 and consists of five commisioners in an effort to facilitate elderly and disabled housing as well as a Section-8 rental assistance program in Windsor. One hundred twelve units are run by the Authority under the elderly and disabled program. The Section-8 program subsidizes rent payments for tenants throughout Windsor on an-need basis. The commisioners meet on the last Monday of each month.
