The voters will have a choice at the polls November 5th, 2013. They can choose a new team to lead Windsor, a team made up of citizens interested in making Windsor a great place to live, a great place to raise and educate ALL our children, and a great place to work. On the other hand they can continue to vote for the status quo of the current majority that has failed our children, our taxpayers, our communities.
The current majority’s status quo history:
- That has taken Windsor Schools from the top 20% to the bottom 20% in 2 decades.
- That has more than doubled per student education costs since 2000.
- That has ignored proper administrative and governance procedures in order to help a friend in a controversial study.
- That thinks multiple budget referendums and ignoring voters is OK.
- That offers a larger abatement to help their union friends vs. doing what is right for ALL our citizens.
- That arrogantly talks down to residents that express sincere opinions, ideas or questions.
- To quote a majority BoE member: ‘Windsor is considered “toxic” by potential superintendents’.
- To quote a Democratic Council member: "Our schools got to the point they are under Democrats over a long period of time..."
The Voters will have a choice to continue this 20 + year failed approach, or to vote for A NEW DAY. Our kids deserve better. Our taxpayers deserve better. All our stakeholders deserve better.
The Republican Team on Row A is the team that Windsor needs. We have excellent Board and Council candidates that are mostly new candidates, with new ideas, and new approaches to the staid problems the status quo is not interested in solving. Do we have all the answers, no, but we DO have ideas and a NEW approach.
To paraphrase Albert Einstein: ‘To vote in the same status quo members and expect a different outcome is insanity’. We must stop the insanity. Windsor needs new ideas that the new energetic members on the Board and Council will work to implement.
