Chili Challenge Hits Windsor Center Saturday

Over 30 local restaurants, businesses, civic organizations and cooks will vie for the title of best chili this weekend.

It may be getting colder — lows reach the upper 40's this week — but the hottest day of the year in Windsor is just days away.

The Chamber of Commerce's eighteenth annual Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 12, and will feature homemade chili from more than 30 local businesses, civic groups and other cooks.

As always, in addition to a judges award, attendees will have the chance to taste and vote for the cook-off's best chili — sample tickets cost just $1 — but the most anticipated award will be given to the best booth, which is awarded to participants with the most creative or outlandish costumes and decorations (See photos from past years here.).

The cook-off will also feature live entertainment.
