Pet Pictures With Santa

Saturday, 10 a.m. - All pictures will be taken by professional photographer, Dennis Aluisa of Classic Images Photography. You’ll be able to view and select the shots you like from their digital system, prior to ordering them. Several photo sizes and packages are available. A variety of Christmas and holiday cards will also be available for purchase. This is a unique opportunity to include your much-loved pet(s) in your holiday greetings to family and friends, while contributing to the support of an all-volunteer animal rescue group. All proceeds will benefit AWARE, a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization, and will help provide veterinarian care and food for abused or abandoned animals, prior to adoption.  To schedule an appointment, please call Lynn at 860-872-1586. Walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

Essential Oils Class
Saturday, 2 p.m. - Discover simple, natural solutions for your health. Learn how to protect your family during cold and flu season, relieve stress and anxiety, soothe headaches, provide pain relief, and more. The class will discuss why you would use essential oils, as well as the way to use them. Participants will also learn which oils will be most effective for specific health needs. Participants will get to experience first-hand how to use the oils aromatically, topically, and even internally.

Peter and the Wolf
Sunday, 2 p.m. - The UConn Puppet Arts program brings Prokofiev's musical tale to life in this enchanting production, complete with fabulous puppets and vivid musical characterizations with a live orchestra that highlight both the narrative and beloved score. Kids will be spellbound by the story of a young boy's adventures with a wolf in the meadow behind his grandfather's house, while simultaneously learning about classical music and the different instruments of the orchestra. This program is recommended for ages 5 and up. Tickets start at $14.
