Wood Memorial Library Gingerbread House Festival
Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. - The holidays are here and once again they offer the opportunity for Wood Memorial Library and Museum to host its annual Gingerbread House Festival. From Nov. 29 to Dec. 15, the spicy smell of gingerbread will mingle with the cool fall air and beckon the young and young at heart to enter and gaze upon row after row of beautifully decorated gingerbread creations. Regional artisans and bakers, both experienced and novice alike, show off their creative talents with a spectacular array of candy covered houses, trains, trees and in some cases entire villages and farms. Come see what they cook up this year for one of the largest gingerbread displays in all of New England. For more information, call 860-289-1783, e-mail wood.memorial.lib@sbcglobal.net, or visit www.woodmemoriallibrary.org.
