Scotch and Game - A New FOREST-To-Table Dinner

Five incredible game courses paired with five amazing single-malt scotches.

By Vito's Restaurants

THIS is the ultimate forest-to-table dinner.

Last year, Vito's Restaurants hosted the first annual Scotch and Game Dinner.  It was sold out within a week of announcing the event.  It was SUCH a success that it's back - and even better than last year.

On Thursday, January 23 at 7:30pm, we'll be hosting this five-course, scotch-paired forest-to-table dinner.  We've selected five of our favorite single malt scotches and paired them with five incredible game courses.  Chef/owner Rob Maffucci will prepare the dinner right before you and your friends.  We've done the hunting so you can focus on the drinking.  We only request that you use a fork and knife.

First course: Quail.  Cranberry and quail confit, goat cheese, arugula and onion jam on a crostini...paired with Monkey Shoulder.

Second course: Frog.  Fried frog legs served with a deconstructed sweet cornbread, dressed with a wild blueberry aioli....paired with Balvenie 14 Rum Cask.

Third course: Wild Boar.  Homemade parpadelle pasta with a wild boar ragu....paired with Glenfiddich 15.

Fourth course: Kangaroo.  Kangaroo loin with a Drambui and Chambord reduction, served with grilled asparagus....paired with Balvenie 21 Portwood.

Fifth course: Dessert.  Petite flourless chocolate truffles and chocolate covered dried fruits.  Paired with Glenfiddich 18.

The dinner is only $65 per person plus tax and gratuity.  Priced out individually, this dinner would normal be $250 per person.  Happy New Year.  :)
