A Quick Introduction!

Having to leave the town of Windsor, Connecticut for college was a nerve wracking experience. Packing up and heading to a new place affects everyone—even those who say they can’t wait to leave. My name is Victoria MacGregor. This May marked the end of my freshman year of college. I am a Marketing Communication major at Endicott College located in Beverly, Massachusetts—a two and a half car ride away. I’m home for the summer and am currently interning at Windsor Community Television. Only a few weeks in, I already know this experience will stay with me.

To be honest, I’ve never been more informed about what is happening with the town of Windsor than now because of my internship. Whether it be events going on around town or big decisions like the town budget being made, they all triggered the same question: How well do people my age and younger know about what’s going on around town?

The goal of my blog is, with the support of WIN-TV, to discuss my experiences during my transition from high school to becoming at freshman at college. In addition to this, I will be taking important discussions from town that are relevant to people my age and breaking they can understand them. Coming closer to leaving high school and entering the “real world”, there are certain things that younger people must pay attention to and voice their opinions on. While it is important to understand what is happening around the world, it is just as important to know what is happening in your hometown. I am excited to start this blog and hope my readers feel informed and enjoy.
