Appalacian Mountain Club Young Members Hike

Young Members  are invited to this 6.5 mile loop hike on trail and woods roads through forest, field and along Farmington River. Watch syrup made at a maple sugar house. The hike will be a steady 2.5 mph pace plus breaks, minimal elevation gains. Snowshoes or Stabilicers may be necessary if snow or ice remain on the trails.

Directions: From I-91 Exit 38 (either direction) turn right onto Rt. 75 North (Poquonock Ave), drive 1.6 miles and turn left onto Prospect Hill Rd. Drive 1.1 miles and turn right onto Lang Rd, then 0.9 miles to parking lot on left. Meet at 9:45 am for 10:00 am start. Optional pizza stop follows.

Please note that all CT-AMC Young Member events, though intended for participants in the 20's -30's age group and are run by Young Members, with young members interests in mind, are nevertheless open to all.
