2012 Windsor Kickball Game & Cook-Out

For All Those Who Give Back - It's Time To Kick Back !!!

The Windsor Jaycees, Windsor Junior Women's Club & Windsor Lions Club proudly announce the 2012 Windsor Kickball Game & Cook-Out will be held this Saturday - August 25th, 2012 (1pm) at Windsor center's John Fitch Field.

The coed kickball game was the brainchild of the Windsor Jaycees and Windsor Junior Women'sClub in maintaining friendly relationships in town and developing camaraderie between volunteer organizations in Windsor with the mindset "Together We Can Do More For Windsor".

In 2010, the first ever kickball game was held at L.P. Wilson and the 2 organizations along with members of the Windsor Lions Club, the Exchange Club and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce used the game as a fundraiser for Win-TV. The game raised $750.00 and helped buy new equipment for Win-TV. The 2011 kickball game was moved to Windsor center's John Fitch Field and was used as a fun day for the organizations involved and not as a fundraiser. Once again, the kickball game included members of the Jaycees, Junior Women's Club, Lions and Exchange Clubs.

"With all the hard work these organizations do throughout the year in Windsor, it was decided that this event should strictly be a fun kickball game & cook-out in August to celebrate all the accomplishments of volunteers in Windsor" said Jillian Brimecombe, Windsor Jaycees Vice President.

This year's game is set for this Saturday (August 25th, 2012 - 1pm) at John Fitch Field.  The event is free but you must be 21 and older to participate. Spectators of all ages are welcome to come down and root on your favorite volunteers & organizations. Anyone who wishes to play please show up by 12:30pm  - Game starts at 1pm. You do not have to be a part of an organization to play in the kickball game.

If you plan on playing all that is asked is that you bring something to the cook-out. It's that simple for an afternoon of fun in Windsor.
