District Seeks Help From Community in Superintendent Search

Parents and community members are invited to take part in focus groups.

Windsor Public Schools, along with its search firm, New England School Development Council (NESDEC), recently announced they are seeking the help of parents and other community members in the search for a full-time superintendent.

It is the district's hope to have a permanent replacement for Feser by the start of the new calendar year.

The focus groups, according to a statement from Windsor Public Schools, are designed to "designed to obtain participant input about the attributes, experience and knowledge that the new superintendent should possess."

The groups are also meant to identify what the new superintendent should immediately address.

Focus groups will also be formed to address issues specific to town officials, school administration and staff, the district said.

One focus group will be held on Mon., Sept. 26 in Sage Park Middle School's cafeteria from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The other group will be held on Tues., Sept. 27 in Town Hall Council Chambers from 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.
