I think Rush should be fired. His remarks are beyond inappropriate. When Imus made an inappropriate comment he got fired in a heart beat, so what's up with Rush why is he immune?

America is a free country. Speech is protected. Even vulgar speech. If you don't like what Rush Limbaugh has to say, then do what I do, don't listen to him. Simple, really.

I love the double standards on the liberal left. They can get away with calling Sarah Palin a whore as well as "picking on her kids" but when someone stoops down to their level, the president gets involved!

Let’s look at the right's double standard, when a brain dead women was taken off life support in Florida it became a "Pro Life issue", and Jeb (governor) and GW (president) were also involved. Ask a person with pro-life convictions about abortion and they want the fetus saved at all cost. Ask them to help the poor mother raise he child and it quite a different story. I am for free speech, Rush can say what he wants, I wonder if his insurance paid for his drug rehab or his Viagra prescription.

I'd like to make a suggestion here. Listen to what those on the right have to say, then listen to those on the left. I think you'll find the truth somewhere in the middle. As for Rush, his loyal listeners haven't gotten the joke yet. If everything he says should happen acually DID happen, he'd be out of a job. It's in his best interest for the Democrats to stay in power.

Fire Rush today, Imus got fired for making a stupid joke. Rush is an ignoramus that meant what he said. He is an elitist, racist. Asshole, that really doesn't stand for anything legitimate. He will say anything or push any issue that pays him or promotes his propagandist program. He twists statements and takes them out of context to further his lies by vomiting them on the public with his personal slant as truth. Constantly bragging about his millions of followers based on the stations that air his farce of a program. What he doesn't say to his many listeners is that his program is free to any station that needs to fill holes in there programing. Anyone that reads knows he is a joke. The idiots that spew his rhetoric are either benefiting from the outcome of the cattle that vote for his agenda They are people that want to feel like they belong to some wealthy elite group that will welcome them into their clubs because they are willing to repeat anything they suggest right or wrong. Fire him out of decency. What he said was ridiculous and mean. He should be fired out of normal decency. .

A lot could have happened in the 20 years since then...I think it did. Most of the children that attended schools in Windsor now have friends of all races and are comfortable with all. And I have actually seen, white young men ask black young men to be their best man and black young men ask white young men to be their best man. Isn't that part of the point of diversity in schools? Maybe the achievement gap is due to not understanding and taking responsibility for your own achievement and future life.

No, your backyard can not be made into a public park.
The cost could have been far less than $90,000, however, times have changed and the town does not allow private individuals to construct the improvements. The group involved with the horseshoe pit put forth numerous alternatives to help defray the costs, and had an estimate roughly half the cost. The town put the project out to bid, and went with the low bidder.
Once the sale of the land is finalized, the money made from the sale will have paid for the relocation of the horseshoe pits and it won't have cost the taxpayers any money.
Mr. and Mrs. Cicero commonly make the (correct) argument that projects should go out to bid, and the most competitive bid should be selected. That's exactly what we did.
Aside from the fact that one has nothing to do with the other, I have been very vocal about the need to find space for the robotics team. I have spent many volunteers hours with members of that team, and I have a great respect for that program and the students involved. I have asked the town manager, both publicly and privately, to do what he can to assist the superintendent in finding a home for Team Paragon. However, it really is a Board of Education issue.
By the way, it was the town that stepped up and helped Team Paragon to find affordable, suitable, temporary space on town property until development begins on Mechanic Street.
