Raises Secured for School Administrators, Supervisors

Raises for district administrators and supervisors were approved November 8.

The following information represents a ratified agreement between Windsor Public Schools and the Windsor School Administrators' and Supervisors' Association, as provided by Windsor Public Schools:

Members of the board of education approved an agreement to extend benefits and secure raises for district administrators and supervisors during a November 8 meeting.

Highlights from that agreement, dated July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2014, as provided by Windsor Public Schools include:

Salary

For 2012/13:

Add $562 to all steps on the salary schedule.

Add $1,500 to the top step of the salary schedule.

Employees below top step will receive half the value of step movement.

For 2013/14:

Employees below top step will move the other half value of the step.

General wage increase of 1.12%.

Insurance 

The health and dental insurance premium share contribution of participating administrators will increase to 18% in the 2012/2013 school year (currently 17%) and increase to 19% in the 2013/14 school year.

Prescription co-pay formulary increases to $10 generic/$25 brand name/$40 non-formulary (currently 10/20/35) in 2013/14.

In 2013/14 inpatient surgery increases to $150 (currently $100) and the Board may introduce a High Deductible Health Plan.

Language

Clarification of some language used in the work year.

Starting in 2013/14, if the Board elects to provide insurance coverage through alternative carriers, it will provide benefits substantially comparable to the current coverage (Current language is more restrictive).

Increase salary for Elementary School Principal by $750 in 2012/13.  Increase salary for Elementary School Principal by $750 in 2013/14.  (Increases differential between High School Vice Principal and Elementary Principal and improves comparability of position.)
