Warriors to Host Unbeaten Hartford Public

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Jack O'Brien Stadium in Windsor.

Windsor is coming off an impressive 48-7 victory over Bristol Eastern -- a game in which the Warriors defense showed it can stop teams and put points on the board.

Windsor's defense will have to have similar success Friday night when Hartford Public (3-0, 2-0) comes to town.

Hartford Public, which currently leads the CCC Div. II East division, has scored twice as many points as its opponents this season, outscoring it foes 82-42, with the largest point margin coming in last week's contest against E.O. Smith. Hartford beat E.O. Smith 33-12.

Hartford's lowest victory margin was five -- a win in its season opener over Maloney.

Windsor has allowed only 27 points this season.

They've also averaged five touchdowns per game, a number Hartford Public will attempt to make smaller Friday night.

Windsor is currently ranked No. 5 in the state and No. 2 in the area, behind Class LL Xavier, by The Hartford Courant. The Warriors are also ranked No. 2 in the Connecticut Class L playoff point standings, behind Daniel Hand, by the CIAC.
