Student Survey Says Windsor Teachers are Doing a Good Job

Windsor High students are pleased with the job their teachers are doing, results of a survey released this week say.

Students were surveyed in the spring of 2013 as a part of teacher evaluations and filled out one survey for each class taken.

The full survey can be found at www.windsorct.org, and the following represent some of the results:

92 percent of responses agreed their teacher is willing to give extra help on schoolwork if needed.

93 percent of responses agreed they feel their teacher cares about them.

92 percent responses agreed their teacher treats them with respect.

85 percent responses agreed their teacher explains things clearly.

99 percent of responses agreed doing well in school is important to them.

55 percent of responses agreed their teacher talks to their parents about classroom performance.

87 percent of responses agreed their teacher pushes them to do their best.

97 percent responses agreed their teacher knows their name.

87 percent responses agreed their teacher challenges them to think.

77 percent of responses agreed their teacher makes what they're learning interesting.

90 percent of responses agreed they felt comfortable asking their teacher for help.

88 percent of responses agreed they learn a lot in class.

72 percent of responses agreed time is not wasted during class.

81 percent of responses agreed homework assigned helps them learn class material.

74 percent of responses agreed they look forward to attending class.
