Kristin Ingram was sworn in as the replacement for former Board of Education member Howard Jubrey Tuesday evening.

Republican Kristin Ingram was sworn in as the replacement for former Board of Education member Howard Jubrey Tuesday evening during the Board's regular meeting.

Ingram fills Jubrey's vacated spot after he submitted his resignation to the Board.

Her swearing in marks the beginning of her second term on the Board. She was first appointed to the Board to fill the shoes of former Board member David Gay in September.

Ingram was on the losing end of November's municipal election, but was sworn in Tuesday as she was the next highest vote getter.

Ingram ran for office on a need for increased accountability within the district and higher achievement standards.

"[Achievement] is not about getting one or two more students above the line," she said during . "It's about getting all of our students to the place that they need to be so that when they leave the Windsor school system they can be productive members of society, and can contribute to whatever community they end up in..."
