Girls, Boys Hoops Pick Up Tournament Wins
The No. 17 girls beat No. 16 Naugatuck in the first round of the Class L State tournament.
Girls basketball picked up a big win Tuesday, staying alive in the state championship tournament with a 56-45 win over Naugatuck on the road.
The Lady Warriors led by 15 at the half, and never looked back.
The win improves the girls' record to 12-9 on the season and pits them against top-ranked E.O. Smith, which has yet to lose a game this season.

The game, to be held at E.O. Smith, will tip off at 7 p.m. on Sat., March 2.
Boys basketball also picked up a big win over Northwest Catholic, Tuesday. The win came in the semifinals of the CCC championship tournament, and gives Windsor a chance to repeat as CCC champions.

Jarod Wilson-Frame poured in 45 points, including 9 three-pointers, four of which came in the fourth quarter, according to Courant.com.
The boys will face Manchester Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Bulkeley High.
State tournament play for the boys opens up at home on Tuesday when they will host No. 29 Staples at 7 p.m.
