Public Forum on Windsor 2012-2103 Schools Budget

Windsor residents are invited to come speak at a public forum about the upcoming budget for the Windsor Public Schools budget. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Windsor Town Hall at 275 Broad Street. The forum will be followed by a regular meeting of the Windsor Board of Education.

“Citizens can take this opportunity to express their comments directly to Board of Education members about what they think should be considered as the 2012-2013 budget is being developed,” explains Windsor Public Schools Interim Superintendent Dr. Ernest L. Perlini. “People are encouraged to come and make their opinions known.”

Dr. Perlini is scheduled to present the 2012-2013 proposed budget to the Board of Education on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, to be immediately followed by a Public Forum on the budget. During succeeding weeks, there will be several Board of Education Finance Committee workshops for the purpose of examining the proposed budget. These workshops will be open to the public. Additional public forums also will be scheduled.
