Grand Re-Opening - Ellsworth Medical: Health Starts at Home

Ellsworth Medical is holding a Grand Re-Opening on Thursday, June 21st from 10:00 am to noon at their retail location in Windsor at 540 Windsor Avenue. The official ribbon cutting will be at 11:00 am. A brief educational talk will be given called "Prevention: Health Starts at Home". Attendees are eligible to win a Keurig system and other door prizes.   Refreshments catered by the Beanery at Barts will be served.  Please RSVP by calling the office at 860-298-9333.

Ellsworth Medical's renovation and expansion has filled the store with new product lines for individuals at home and professional health care workers.  New features include a Foot Wellness Center, the largest selection of medical uniforms in the Hartford area (scrubs in colorful, breathable fabrics) and bathroom safety accessories.

For over 30 years, Ellsworth Medical, a family owned business focusing on accessibility supplies, has helped older adults stay in their homes longer, safely, extending their quality of life. "Our goal is to help prevent home accidents that can lead to expensive and painful hospitalizations," says third-generation owner, Brian Cosker, Jr. "It's a way to keep our parents healthy and in their own homes."

Cosker is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) providing home safety consultation, design solutions for barrier-free bathrooms and installation of accessibility ramps, home stair lifts, and walk-in bathtubs throughout Southern New England.
