Dr.  Villar officially will become the Windsor Public Schools Superintendent that  same day, February 1. He was elected to this position by the Windsor Board of Education on  November 30, 2011.  Since then, he has been  working with Interim Superintendent Dr. Ernest L. He currently is the  Superintendent of the Rocky Hill Public Schools, having been appointed to that  post in 2008. Prior to that position, he served as Associate Superintendent for  the Meriden (Conn.) Public Schools for four years. His school administrator  experience includes the jobs of Principal at Washington Middle School in  Meriden, as Assistant Principal at both Francis T. Maloney High School in  Meriden and at Washington Middle School, and as a Vice Principal and Curriculum  Specialist for the Hartford Public Schools’ Sports Sciences Academy. Before  becoming a school administrator, Dr. Villar was a Social Studies teacher in the  Hartford Public Schools at Bulkeley High School and at Quirk Middle  School.
