Boys, Girls Celebrate Track State Championship

The boys and girls indoor teams took home the Class L championship.

During halftime of the the boys basketball game Friday, a special achievement was recognized when the Windsor High School boys and girls indoor track teams took a lap around the gym, both teams hoisting Class L state championship trophies for their respective tournaments.

The championship win was the second in two years for the girls, who were led by senior Medina Nabadduka. Nabadduka was recognized as Windsor High School's winter sport female student athlete.

The boys win caps a turnaround for the record books. While the team was held titleless last year, the boys won the CCC championship, and have now become state champions, all under first-year-coach Kelvan Kearse.
