The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) released rankings and pairings for the boys basketball state tournament Wednesday morning, and Windsor is near the top.
The 17-3 Warriors received the No. 6 seed in the tournament of 29 teams in Class LL. They'll take on Hamden at home in the opening round.
Windsor's three losses (East Catholic on Jan. 8, Wethersfield on Jan. 25 and Glastonbury on Feb. 2) have all come against CCC teams it's also beaten this season.
The boys, tied for first in the CCC with East Hartford and Simsbury, are currently in the midst of a run for the league title. They'll play East Hartford at Bulkeley High Wednesday night.
In the state tournament, Fairfield Prep received the No. 1 ranking.

The winner of the March 4 game against Hamden will play the winner of No. 11 Hartford Public and No. 22 Norwich Free Academy on March 6 at they gym of the higher seed.
The Hartford Courant ranks Windsor as the No. 6 team in the state and the No. 1 team in the area, closely followed by Capital Prep, East Hartford and Simsbury.
