"The boys and girls both won last year," Athletic Director Steve Risser told board members, adding that the school is “in awe of our student-athletes and what they and their coaches have done."

Two students who always stand out are Sydnee Over, a junior, and Medinah Nabadukkah, a senior.  Over is state and New England champion in the 800-meter, and with a second place finish in the New Balance National Outdoor Track and Field Championships she has earned the title of All-American athlete.

Nabadukkah is a 1600-meter state champion and is part of the four-person team that won the 4x400 meter relay in the state championship, state open and New England championships held in Saco, ME, along side teammates Courtney Kearse, Vanessa Harris and Over.

In the triple jump Janae Wilson is the state champion and is ranked seventh in the national championships in the long jump.

For the boys, the achievements are just as plentiful.

The four-person team of Brian Sappleton, Nicholas Charley, Tiquan Johnson and Daniel Jamieson took both the 4x100 and the 4x400 meter relays in the state championships. They did the same in the state open and at the New England championships before taking eighth place in the 4x400 in the national competition.

Daniel Jamieson earned All-American status for his second place finish in the 100-meter and sixth place finish in the 200-meter. Jamieson is also the state champion in those races and had similar success in the state open and at the New England championship.
