Board of Ed. Welcomes Darleen Klase

Klase was approved to sit on the board of education Thursday.

The Windsor Board of Education met during a special meeting Thursday evening to announce a replacement for democrat Lucille Brown, who resigned over the summer.

The board unanimously voted to appoint Darleen Klase (D) to fill the vacant seat "until the end of [Lucille Brown's] term or until the next general election."

With Klase's appointment, the democrats, who hold a majority on the board, have no board of education candidates for the November 8 election other than those currently seated.
