Across the state of Connecticut, foreclosure activity jumped by 33 percent in July compared to last year, according to the Hartford Business Journal, citing reports from Reality/Trac, which specializes in housing data compilation.
In Windsor, foreclosure activity hasn't increased as much as the rest of the state,, but local figures aren't necessarily comforting.
When compared to July 2012, July 2013 foreclosure activity increased by 29 percent.
There were 17 foreclosure registration notices filed with the Windsor town clerk in July 2013.
19 notices have been filed this month through Aug. 28.
The figures hold steady for summer months in Windsor. In June, July and August of 2013, activity has increased 29 percent in comparison to the same months of 2012.
