Some investigation yields more questions.

We have seen Ms. Fissel provide information that throws into question whether we were mislead about who was actually paying for the James-Loyola study.  First it was Windsor, then 100% Alliance Grant and then we are told it is a matching grant.  She also brings up a question of prior association with Mr. James and his ideas. NEW PARAGRAPH ………………………………………………………………………………………………… Concerned Mothers & Fathers, informs us that the study is to be performed by students as part of a class.  So we are helping students earn a degree under the tutelage of Mr. James, which is OK with me, since it is the analysis that we would be paying for, but reading the syllabus makes me wonder.  The concern I have is: “major course assessments will involve conducting research” involving the Windsor EER, “…the course will travel to Connecticut… creating research questions, interview questions… Summaries will be made available to the Windsor community… Executive Summary should be no longer than four pages and include charts and graphs. Your final paper should include an edited copy of the summary.”  So who is writing the summary? …………………………………. NEW PARAGRAPH ………………………………………………………………………………………………… Now let us consider something else.  The Contract was signed on or about 18 March 2013.  The agreement to contract for services was 12 September 2012.  The process of crafting a contract took over 6 months.  Yet at some point from September 12, 1012 to before November 5, 2012 when Loyola began its spring registration process the syllabus was created without a contractual agreement with Loyola.  Furthermore the Spring Final examinations are scheduled for May 6-7.  …………………………………. NEW PARAGRAPH ………………………………………………………………………………………………… This explains why there was such insistence by various parties to get this contract signed.  You see without the contract Dr. James and Loyola could not do any “class” work.  Then when it was signed he had to run around to get stuff done because it would appear he boxed himself into a corner.  Can you imagine the embarrassment for Dr. James if Windsor had rejected the contract, which it should have for a rewrite.   Consider the relationship that appears to have existed starting several years ago according to information provided by others?  Also read the contract, I am not a lawyer, but I would have had redlined changes all over this thing.  Now we start to get perspective as to why this had to be the contract and the man.  But for whose benefit? …………………………………. NEW PARAGRAPH ………………………………………………………………………………………………… Also consider Dr. James who promises to have Windsor as a key element in a class, takes student money, and then can’t deliver?  How embarrassing for him.  Loyola had gotten itself into a pickle with Dr. James, who seems to have thrown out any semblance of proper conduct when this is considered in the whole.  It may also explain the strange execution of the contract with no witnesses for Loyola, why? The fewer people knew about this the better? NEW PARAGRAPH ………………………………………………………………………………………………… I said a long time ago, drop this contract, and come back in 3 months with a new perspective.  We can now understand why that could not be done.  Unfortunately more questions are now being raised that should be answered.
