Let's Put the Spending and Debt Into Perpective

Let's put the spending and debt into perspective.

Consider government spending:

On the Federal level where budget deficits are massive,

On the State level where debt is also a major issue,

and to a minor extent, locally.

When we think of Federal budget deficits we should look at in a different way. Consider what the State and Federal spending really is: It is spending our children's futures and saddling them with debt for things (stimulus plans, bailouts, busways and railways, etc.) that we can only wish will come true.

It is time to Stop!

Think long and hard... then say to your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, "I want you saddled with this debt for your own good."  I want you to pay for everything that government does because it must be good for us.

Is it?

An analogy that we all should understand:

You have the power to in-debt your children. To make them pay off your debts. You leave your children and grandchildren your house with a mortgage that grows annually, this mortgage is now growing to be greater than the value of the house.

You are using the money, and used the money to pay for plane tickets to take them places, or feed them filet mignon, and to do whatever it is that you felt was proper.  You are unable to live within your means, or more appropriately, you do not want to live within your means, and keep packing on the debt, reminding them on occasion they will have to pay off the debt! You keep spending and the kids are the ones that have to pay for this in the end!

Would you do that to your kids?  Think about it, would you?  

I did not think so... You want to leave them the house free and clear don't you.

Well then I have one question....

Why then is it OK for government to do that to your kids?  

Why is it OK for the government to rack up the debt to benefit you, just so that your kids can pay the debt in the end.  

We are mortgaging our childrens' futures... Why?
