Question - Current Home Values vs Future Decreases

What is the town doing to insure that there will not be a drastic home devaluation with all of these rental units being built? We all know that detached residential home values are less in Hartford due to the apartment buildings there so why is our beautiful small town being turned into Hartford?

The more rental apartments rack 'em stack em' complex style units the more our taxes go up to pay for services while bringing the property values down the more that Windsor becomes an expansion of the undesirable urban Hartford area

What is the town doing to make certain that the future builds will be Condos which Pay Property taxes & Detached Single Family Homes with In-Law units to decrease the speed of the property values dropping?
It is irresponsible of the town council to add apartment complexes into our small community left & right without considering the loss in value of the tax paying homeowners homes. 

Part of the budget cuts that needs to be on the table must be to End Membership Payments to ICLEI because these payments in no way benefit Windsor Residents - we have no business being part of an international group making bylaws for our beautiful small town here in the USA & our taxpaying Citizens http://www.iclei.org/iclei-global/our-governance.html
