Have you heard what NY Superintendent is saying about Common Core?

NY State has had the official filing to remove the Common Core & Race to the Top from it's schools put forth in Bill A07994 with 24 co-signers on June 13th & it has been referred over to the Education Committee

Down in the southern part of our state the parents were already starting to protest Common Core

Then the results of the tests came out & the parents are in even more of an uproar.

Dr Joe Rella Superintendent of Comsewogue School District in Port Jefferson Station in NY has gotten nationwide attention due to his publicly calling out the Common Core program as "Hurting Our Children" & called for a rally this past weekend to put a STOP to the Implementation & SCRAP the Common Core

So why is it that Windsor parents aren't demanding that this Common Core & Race to the Top also be stopped here?

The achievement gap is only going to get worse if the grades are so bad now & the Common Core program is showing that it's not working.

It does not seem to make sense to spend time promoting for a study with an ad from the NAACP head from Hartford when our children are headed on the WRONG TRACK....
 
Or is it more important for personal friends of the BoE president to be enriched rather than for responsible research be done on the teaching programs that will affect the children's ability to learn now & in the future?
