Are you attending the Nuclear Reg. Comm. MTG 8-13-13 7p

The Nuclear Regulation Commission (NRC) will be having a public meeting on August 13th 2013 regarding the License Termination Request from ABB

The property that is in Windsor which ABB currently owns (was formerly owned by Combustion Engineering) & during the period of time between their ownerships various nuclear fuels were manufactured & used & contaminated the soils on the property.

Some of the nuclear fuels that have contaminated the soils include Uranium, Thorium & Radium according the Windsor Journal. From the 1950's though to 2001 these nuclear fuels were used & created in Windsor; these contaminates ended up in the soils on the property & in the buildings.

It is not stated if the meeting will be shown via the Public Access or recorded for later viewing. The meeting will be held in the Town Hall Council Chambers so it should be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

John Nicholson from NRC is listed as the Rep to inquire about having handouts enough for those who plan on attending the meeting - it is not made clear if the handouts will be made available in pdf form for viewing on the town website for review by those who are unable to attend the meeting - his phone number is listed on the Windsor Journal as 610-337-5236

Why is it that this important meeting event does not appear to be listed on the town website on the calendar section or in the up coming meetings schedule list - the Public Building Commission will be meeting at the very same time in the Ludlow room - at the very least the meetings should be one after the other so the public can attend both?

Since the land in question is getting a tax break for the new builders at great pond shouldn't this meeting be listed on the town hall website & part of the public access meeting shown & recorded for later viewing by those who couldn't attend. Why wasn't this meeting combined as part of the Public Building Commission meeting &/or the Town Planning & Zoning
