Power Restoration Outlook Optimistic
Windsor is faring well compared to surrounding towns, including a realistic chance of total power restoration by Sunday night.
16 percent percent of Windsor was without power as of 11 p.m. Saturday, and town officials were confident that the town will see near-complete restoration by Sunday night.
“We’re optimistic that CL&P’s goal will be met by tomorrow evening,” said Peter Souza, Windsor’s town manager, during a telephone interview Saturday.
Souza said that Windsor had 21 line crews working on restoring power to the town and between six and 10 tree crews clearing debris and roadblocks Saturday. All roads were passable, though at 8 a.m. there were about 12 streets that remained one-lane roads.

Residents are reminded to bring any storm debris they want to be cleared by the town to their curbs, making sure to keep it out of the street and well away from any fire hydrants. Any questions can be directed to the Windsor Emergency Operations Center at 860-285-1883.
