Windsor Independents Add to New Faces on Election Ballot

New blood has become the theme of Windsor's 2013 municipal election, as the Independents present a slate featuring two incumbents.

The Windsor Independents have a tentative slate of candidates in place, adding a number of new faces to a November election ballot that's already full of political newcomers.

According to a Hartford Courant report, the recently-formed Independent Party have announced Rickey Kendall, John Dunn, Stephen McKay and Jeffrey Ingram will join incumbent Lisa Boccia in the race for town council.

Board of education candidates include Nancy Peeke, Joan Dunn, Darren Matthew Waterhouse, Michele Vinnelli and incumbent Kristin Ingram, according to The Courant.

Last month, Windsor Republicans announced a slate featuring just three incumbents, while The Democrats' slate comprises incumbents, alone.

Both the town council and the board of education currently have a Democratic majority.
