Windsor Dems Endorse Candidate Slate

Familiar and a couple of new faces grace the candidate slate.

Windsor Democrats held a caucus Thursday evening at Town Hall to endorse its slate of candidates for the upcoming elections — a list of mostly veteran public servants, with a few new faces thrown into the mix.

Mayor Don Trinks led the group of town council candidates, which was rounded out by Deputy Mayor Alan Simon and fellow town council members Bill Herzfeld Randy McKenney, in addition to Jody L. Terranova.

While Terranova is the only candidate that does not currently sit on the council, the board of education slate guarantees a board with a few new voices.

Both republicans and democrats must fill seats left open by former Vice President Chris McAuliffe (D) and David Gay (R) who recently resigned from their posts.

Board of education candidates endorsed by the council include current-President Milo "Rusty" Peck, Vice President Christopher Watts, Secretary Doreen Richardson, and two new faces: Richard O'Reilly and Darleen Klase.
