Want a Candidate Cookie?

If early cookie sales in Largo are an indicator President Barack Obama will win November's presidential election.

For the third presidential election is selling presidential candidate cookies. Customers can buy sugar cookies with an edible image of the candidate of their choice.

Largo cookie buyers have correctly predicted the presidential winner in the last two elections, said Bakery Owner Frida Aalipour.

The official poll will start in September once the Republican and Democratic conventions have officially nominated their candidates. Early polling shows 24 Obama cookies and 17 Mitt Romney cookies have sold.

"We have fun with it. People are passionate about their candidate. Some people buy more just to get their favorite candidate elected. It is democracy you know," Aalipour said.

Hi Brenda, I called Frida's to double-check, they offer online ordering, catering and of course bakery pickup. But they don't have shipping. Here's a link with their contact information. http://patch.com/L-jHbY
