Voters Look to Set Trend of Increased Voter Participation in Windsor

While unofficial polling place numbers have yet to be tallied, this year's budget referendum seems busier than year's past, according to the registrar of voter's office.

While just over 2,000 residents voted in the 2012 referendum, double the amount of ballots -- with some polling officials having to call in for more -- have been sent to polling places across town.

Should official voter-tally numbers show an increase in participation, it would continue a trend.

Voter turnout, while relatively low in percentage, has increases over the last three years at budget referenda.
