Town Welcomes New Wetlands Agent

Marc Cohen is filling the shoes of Cyd Groff, who left her post with the town in May.

The inlands, wetlands and watercourses commission approved the seating of the town's new wetlands agent and environmental planner Wednesday.

Marc Cohen has been on the job just a couple of weeks, but he conveyed his history of extensive experience in the field to the commission.

Cohen comes to Windsor with a background in construction engineering, construction planning, information technology and, most recently, drinking-water protection.

Cohen comes to Windsor from Longmeadow, MA, a state in which he has experience on the conservation commission.

Still needing to complete the three courses for official wetlands agent certification in Connecticut, the town is temporarily retaining the services of its interim wetlands agent.
