Town Council to Make Budget Cuts Monday

Members of the Windsor Town Council will meet Monday night and budget cuts are on the agenda.

Council members will be forced to take a hard look at spending Windsor residents can do without for the next fiscal year — an effort that council members hope will produce an approved budget at referendum in June.

Just last week residents rejected the town council's proposed budget, which represented a 2.2 percent increase and a $101 million spending plan.

The council is also scheduled to set the date for the second budget vote in town. That date is expected to be June 4.

The council will meet at 7:30 p.m. in town hall council chambers.
