Town Council to Discuss More Storm Cleanup Funding Monday Night
Additional $510,000 will be requested.
The Town Council will be meeting to discuss a further appropriation of funds to cover the clean up after the October snowstorm. The council approved $290,000 on Nov. 14, but a further $510,000 will be requested.
The additional funding will be used to finish up the initial cleanup and also a further round of pickups to finish the project.
Cleanup is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Dec. 9.

President Obama made a disaster declaration in Conncecticut on November 17, 2011, making aid available on a cost sharing basis for emergency work and hazard mitigation. The town is applying for a Public Assistance Grant, which is a Federal Emergency Management Agency program.
Also on the agenda is an update on the ABB/Combustion Engineering site cleanup and remediation at 2000 Day Hill Road.

The Town Council meeting will take place this evening at Windsor Town Hall, Council Chambers beginning at 7:30 p.m.
