Town Council Expected To Apply For State Road-Repair Funds

The Town Council meets tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Town Council members will vote on, and likely approve, the submission of an application for state funds to be used in the repair of several roads in town.

The Public Works Department is requesting that the town submit an application to receive funds to fund, in part or entirely, the repair of the following roads:

  • Matianuck Avenue
  • Sunnyside Circle
  • Robin Road
  • Sunnyfield Drive
  • West Ridge
  • Kellogg Street

On an annual basis, the State of Connecticut provides towns with money for such projects in the form of the Local Capital Improvements Program (LoCIP), according to town documents.

The town can then apply for reimbursement of those funds.
