The following are highlights from this week's upcoming town meetings:

Town Council — Mon., March 21 at 7:30 p.m.; Town Hall Council Chambers

Agenda highlights:

The board will vote on the proposed "leash law." Amendments were made to the ordinance by the health and safety committee.
The board will also vote on the appropriation of more than $100,000 to renovate HVAC systems in Town Hall and Poquonock Elementary School.

Finance Committee — Tues., March 22 at 7 p.m.; Town Hall Council Chambers

Agenda highlights:

The committee will discuss and review the preparation of the budget for FY 2012.
