The town council will vote to set a public hearing on November 5 in an effort to receive residents' approval to spend $162,000 to purchase a home on Parkwood Drive.

According to town documents, the home will be purchased to facilitate the Windsor Independent Living Association's (WILA) acquisition of the property. WILA, town documents say, will recompensate the town for the property purchase, but needs the town to make the transaction in order to take advantage of recently-passed legislation allowing the town to acquire property at a fair market value.
