Residents Get Inside Look at How Windsor Runs

Fourteen residents recently graduated from Windsor's Citizen's Academy.

Forget about just reading the news, one can learn all the ins and outs of town operations through Windsor's Citizen's Academy.

That's what fourteen residents did this fall when they joined the eight-week program that took them behind the scenes of town operations ranging from police work, the town clerk's office and the annual budget.

Participants visited a different town facility each week.

To date, 159 residents have completed the program since its inception in 2005.

This year's graduates include Barbara Gruell, Dennis Gruell, Michelle Vannelli, Bob Vanelli, Bonnie Karkowski, Laurence Karkowski, John Dunn, Joan Dunn, Kristin Kraiza, Santi Camarotti, Sharon Williams, Marc Fusco, Debbie Samson and Maritz Boak.

The Citizen's Academy will begin again next fall. Those interested should contact Enita Jubrey by calling 860-285-1835.
