Polls Open Tuesday for Fifth District Primary

Democratic voters in three voting districts can cast their vote in support of Leo Canty or Brandon McGee for the party's nomination, Tuesday.

Democratic voters living in Windsor voting districts one, two and three are eligible to cast their votes Tues., October 2.

The three polling places, located at L.P. Wilson Community Center, John F. Kennedy School and 330 Windsor Avenue will be open to receive votes for the Democratic party's nominee in the race for state represenative in the fifth Assembly District.

The district covers the southern end of Windsor and northern end of Hartford.

The ballot will include Windsor's Leo Canty and Brandon McGee of Hartford.

The two candidates are running in the race's second primary since August, with the first primary ending in a tie with both candidates receiving 774 votes each.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The winner of the race will face Republican candidate Paul Panos on the November 6 ballot.
