Town Manager Peter Souza recently revealed the sidewalk sustained damage during plowing operations following the February blizzard.

THe majority of residents have praised the town of Windsor and its staff for plow and cleanup operations following the February blizzard. Those cleanup efforts, however, are not done.

Town Manager Peter Souza recently revealed Palisado Avenue will have to undergo sidewalk repair due to damage sustained during plowing operations.

According to Souza, a section of the retaining wall that supports a section of sidewalk on Palisado Avenue, near the railroad bridge, fell during plowing, and will require repair in the near future.

The damage does not pose immediate risks to pedestrians, motorists or nearby infrastructure, according to Souza, but, he said, maintenance should be completed as soon as possible.

According to Souza, weather conditions will determine when repairs can be made. He has set a time line for late March or early April for those repairs to begin.
