Million-Dollar Public Hearing to be Held

Road repairs amounting to nearly $1.5 million will be subject to input from citizens before a vote is held.

A public hearing on three separate town council motions to approve funds for road maintenance — amounting nearly $1.5 million — will be held Tuesday night in Town Hall Council Chambers.

The hearing will come prior to the town council's regular meeting, during which council members are scheduled to vote on the items at hand during the public hearing held.

The council will vote to approve the issuance of bonds and notes to finance $545,000 of road work on Harvey Road and Hillcrest Road, $695,000 for road work on Maple Avenue, Spring Street and Court Street, and $150,000 for work to the town's storm water operations.

The public hearing will begin at 7:20 p.m. in Town Hall Council Chambers. The council's regular meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.
