Free Mortgage Assistance Event Planned For Wednesday, April 17 In New Haven

A free, mortgage-assistance event for homeowners who need information or help with loan modifications, foreclosure prevention, state and federal assistance programs and other lending-related issues will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Omni New Haven, 155 Temple Street, New Haven,Connecticut.  Free parking will be available for attendees at the One Temple Street Garage and the 213 Crown Street Garage.

Representatives from various mortgage lenders and loan servicing companies will be available to discuss your case personally.  Among them are: Bank of America; CitiMortgage; Fannie Mae; First Niagara Bank;  HSBC National Bank USA;  JPMorgan Chase & Co.;  McCue Mortgage; Ocwen Loan Servicing; PNC Mortgage; People’s United Bank; Webster Bank and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.  HUD-approved housing counseling agencies, the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Judicial Branch Mediation and other state and non-profit agencies will provide additional assistance to homeowners.

A full list of participating banks and agencies is available on the following website, www.ct.gov/dob/homeowner , which also lists the documents a homeowner needs to bring for assistance and directions to the event.  Be sure to check the website periodically, as information on how to pre-register with your lender will be updated as the event draws closer.
