Former BOE President Peck to Resign

Peck's resignation leaves seat open on Board.

Former Board of Education President Rusty Peck has decided to file his resignation with the Board, according to the Windsor Democratic Town Committee.

Peck has cited family reasons for his leaving, the WDTC said.

"Rusty has done a lot of great things for Windsor's children and our schools during his tenure on the Board," said WDTC Chair Leo Canty.

"Life deals us a tough set of cards sometimes and I know Rusty has a set that needs a lot of attention - I do wish him and his family well as he attends to family matters and we thank him dearly for all the huge gains he helped us make while he was a BOE leader."

Peck's resignation leaves a spot on the Board, and Windsor Dems are actively searching for interested candidates to take the open seat.
