Notice of Public Hearing - Town of Windsor - Notice is Hearby Given that the Town of Windsor, acting through its Office of Community Development, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, March 24th at 7:00 p.m. in the Ludlow Room of the Town Hall located at 275 Broad Street, Windsor, Connecticut to discuss the Fiscal Year 2011 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and solicit citizen input. Maximum award limits include a total of $750,000 per Fiscal Year for Public Facilities, $700,000 per Fiscal Year for Public Housing Modernization, $500,000 per Fiscal Year for Infrastructure and $300,000 for Housing Rehabilitation.   Major activities are Housing – New Construction, Housing Acquisition, Housing Rehabilitation, Community Facilities, Public Services, and Economic Development.  Projects funded with CDBG allocations must carry out at least one of three National Objectives, as follows: benefit to low/moderate income persons, elimination of slums and blight, or meeting urgent community development needs.  The Town of Windsor anticipates applying for $500,000, the maximum grant amount for Infrastructure, for the reconstruction of Maple Street and Spring Street.  The purpose of the public hearing will be to give citizens an opportunity to make their comments known on the program.  If you are unable to attend the public hearing you may direct written comments to the Office of Community Development, 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT  06095 or you may contact staff at (860)285-1985.  In addition, information may be obtained at the above address between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. The Town of Windsor promotes fair housing and makes all progra
